Fremont Street West, the old part of Vegas. When the new big hotels and casinos opened on the southern part of the Strip, visitors stayed away. That’s why they built this giant roof in 1995: the “Sky Parade” is a sun shade at daytime and the world’s largest LED screen in the dark.

… we ran into a marriage under the famous Las Vegas welcome sign. No guests, but an Elvis priest and a hired photographer.

Elvis gave everything rocking playback to “Viva Las Vegas” from his CD player; the couple had to kiss.

Elvis gab alles und rockte Playback zu “Viva Las Vegas” aus seinem CD-Player; das Paar musste knutschen.

While Elvis tried to get away fast his agent already organized the next marriage. Very romantic.

Unromantischer geht’s kaum: während der gestresste Elvis hastig die Musikanlage verstaut, macht sein Agent noch schnell die nächste Hochzeit klar.

  1. Great pictures guys! We have family in Vegas and go there every once in a while. I could never get sick of going there. New things there every time, and really, money can’t buy experience that are genuine to Vegas, like the Freemont street lightshow. Did you guys go up the Stratosphere tower? That’s something you gotta do.

  2. That was a horrible view. Everywhere I turened I was surrounded by ugly people. Unlike in Paris were I am originally from, This place is horrific, I almost puke in my mouth just thinking of my experience in Las Vegas. The Bellagio Hotel is supposed to be one of the best hotels, well let me tell u what, that was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Ughhh I have have enough of Las Vegas.

  3. Manuel seems like a jerk. Ugly people? Puking in his mouth? I’ve been to France and its nothing but muslims these days. Not really my thing.

Vegas is fun and I typically stay at the Luxor but the Bellagio is very nice. No shortage of attractive nor unattractive people either. Its like anywhere. Definitely worth a visit or two!

  4. Hey dude, nice photos and nice article. I love Vegas, this is unique American style. And regarding number 3 – dude, PARIS SUCKS. There’s nothing, even the Tower is not comparable to Vegas wonders.

  5. Thanks Margo, but comparing artificial Las Vegas and it’s undemanding touristic atmosphere with Paris and it’s old and real culture and architecture and so much flair is very bizarre.

  6. I lived in Las Vegas and you make it look good enough to almost make me move back the places like the Golden Nugget with Vic & Anthoy’s steakhouse which is by far the best steak in the west on par with and in some cases better than Ruth Chris.
It’s a nice place to visit but let’s face it I wouldn’t want to die there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    VIVA LAS VEGAS

  7. Oh my gosh, I can’t believe how many people get married under the old Vegas sign with an Elvis minister. I laughed with my boyfriend about doing that thinking it was joke. After I moved here I saw it wasn’t a joke people do it all the time!

  8. OMG! I just love your pics, cant wait to go to Vegas. I planed going there next year for the wsop but im kind of afraid, that this city will distract me from playing poker, cause its just like disneyworld for adults. Nice blog there thanks for sharing the pictures.
