Damien Hirst’s £ 50,000,000 Skull
This diamond encrusted skull is the latest work of English artist Damien Hirst. It is called ‘For the love of god’, consists of platinum and 8,601 flawless pavé diamonds weighing a total of 1,106.18 carats. The price is 50 million pounds and it’s already reserved. ‘Für die Liebe Gottes’, das neueste Werk des englischen Künstlers Damien Hirst, ist ein Platin-Totenschädel, besetzt mit 8.601 lupenreinen Diamanten mit 1.106,18 Karat. Verkauft werden soll das gute Stück für £ 50.000.000,- (50 Millionen Pfund!) und ist bereits reserviert. Der Schädel ist Teil der Hirst-Ausstellung ‘Beyond Belief’ (‘Zu Tode’) in der Londoner White Cube-Galerie, 3.6.-7.7.2007.
