Auch praktisch zu wissen, wenn man die Bandbreite seiner Datei-Teilhabe-Programme korrekt einstellen will.

For everybody like me, who cannot keep this in mind and for the DSL advertisers with their constant case insensitivity. This is also a usefull information when it comes to scaling the bandwith of your filesharing software.

1 Byte (B) = 8 bit (b)

1 kB = 1 kiloByte = 1000 Byte = 8000 bit
1 KB / KiB = 1 KibiByte = 1024 Byte = 8192 bit

1 kb = 1 kilobit = 1000 bit = 125 Byte
1 Kb / Kib = 1 Kibibit = 1024 bit = 128 Byte

Beispiele / Examples:
2 mbit (2 megabit) = 2000 kbit = 250 kByte
256 kbit = 32 kByte
