Brash. If I’d want to use Skype for landline telephony, I have to buy a ‘SkypeIn’ real number for 5€ per month, so I can be reached by normal phones. In addition Skype charges a connection fee of 4.5 Cent (!) per call to a landline or mobile since January 18th. Horrendous prices in the VoIP age. At the moment I have a free landline number from Sipgate (from Düsseldorf), rates are cheaper partially and there is no connection fee. Do they want to bleed the existing customers before Skype goes down the drain?

Heute bekam ich eine Mail von Skype, mein dortiges Guthaben von 20 Cent (war ein Gutschein) verfiele innerhalb von 180 sieben Tagen, wenn ich keine Anrufe tätige oder etwas kaufe. Frech. Wollte ich Skype für Festnetztelefonie benutzen, müsste ich eine ‘SkypeIn’-Festnetznummer für 5€ im Monat kaufen, um erreichbar zu sein. Zudem berechnet Skype seit dem 18. Januar eine Verbindungsgebühr von 4,5 Cent (!) für jeden Anruf einer Festnetz-/Handynummer. Alles horrende Preise im VoIP-Zeitalter. Bei Sipgate (aus Düsseldorf) habe ich momentan eine Gratis-Festnetznummer, Gesprächsgebühren sind teilweise billiger und ein Verbindungsentgeld gibt’s auch nicht. Wollen die jetzt noch Bestandkunden schröpfen, bevor es mit Skype den Bach runtergeht?
